A Certified Oncology Pharmacist (COP) course is a preparatory course for pharmacists who want to take the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) Oncology Pharmacy Specialty Certification Examination. The course covers the knowledge domains and clinical skills required for pharmacists who practice in oncology pharmacy settings, such as cancer treatment, chemotherapy safety, pharmacology, and supportive care. The COP course is designed for pharmacists who have at least two years of experience in oncology pharmacy or have completed a postgraduate year two (PGY2) residency in oncology pharmacy. The course is not a requirement for taking the BPS exam, but it may help pharmacists review and refresh their knowledge and skills in oncology pharmacy. The course may also benefit pharmacists who want to enhance their professional development and competency in oncology pharmacy.
